Sewing With Stretch Kids Joggers

Children’s Jersey Pants Workshop 

Learn how to make a pair of Jersey Pant Joggers with tubing waist and cuffs. This workshop is suited to someone with basic sewing machine knowledge. If you have no experience then we would recommend completing our introduction to sewing course. This workshop is taught by the owner of Koala Kreations. Lianne is a self-taught sewer with many years of experience 

Times 10am to 12.30pm 

What you will learn:

• How to layout, pin & cut fabric.
• How to transfer markings.
• How to sew with a stretch fabric.
• How to add a tubing/ribbing waist and cuffs at the feet

What you will need to bring:

• Stretch Jersey Fabric -  medium knit fabrics, cotton jersery, viscose jersey, french terry, sweatshirting, lycra jersey
• Prem/small - 30cm fabric
  New-born to age 3 years - 50cm fabric
  Age 4 to 6 years - 60cm fabric 
  Age 7 to 10 years 70cm fabric
  Age 11 to 12 years 1 metre 

• Matching Tubbing 25cm 
• Matching thread if you require a colour match

What’s included:

• A traced pattern in your chosen size
• Sewing machine
• White thread and all the tools needed for the class
• Hot or cold drinks, biscuits and cakes

Knowledge level:

• Suitable for novices and those with some basic machine sewing knowledge/skill.
