Learn how to make a sweet little girls dress using the Freda dress pattern by Two Stitches. This workshop is suited to someone with basic sewing machine knowledge. If you have no experience then we would recommend completing our introduction to sewing course. The pattern ages range is 6 months to 9 years.

How to read and use a pattern
How to layout, pin & cut fabric and any interfacing
How to transfer markings
How to apply interfacing
How to sew and finish seams appropriately
How to neaten armholes and neck
How to hem the dress
How to attach a button and create a loop
What you will need to bring:
Fabric of your choice. We recommend a light or medium weight cotton, corduroy, light denim, and linen blends. Please speak to us to find out the amount of fabric for your size choice. We offer 10% discount for any fabric and notions purchased for this workshop.

Teacher - Alison
Alison has always designed and made things from an early age. After studying commercial fashion design, pattern cutting, manufacturing, knitwear and product design she completed a further degree in Design teaching. She has spent the last 28 years teaching a wide range of design subjects, including textiles to GCSE and A’level standard. Whilst teaching she also completed a City & Guilds in Millinery and has for the past 8 years been creating bespoke couture hats, fascinators, bags and accessories for clients, selling work through bridal shops and makers markets. She has also run fascinator, hen parties and craft classes across the South West.
