Sewing With Stretch Coco Dress Workshop

Have you ever wanted to learn to sew with stretchy fabrics?? Many customer will put it of as it sounds scary! But let me show you how easy it really can be. Come along and sew with stretchy fabrics in our coco dress workshop.

Fill your wardrobe with classic Breton tops, cosy knit dresses and sixties-style funnel necks - all from the same pattern and no overlocker or serger required! Choose from a top or dress length, boat neckline or funnel roll neck, long or three quarter sleeves.

Skill level - Confident beginners

What you will learn:
How to lay your fabrics ready for cutting.
How to sew stretchy fabrics with a walking foot and a ballpoint needle.
We will sew seams and hems with a zig zag stitch. 

What you will need to bring:
- Stretchy fabric with little stretch, Medium weight knits - jeresy, cotton interlock, double knit 150cm width. Feel free to visit us in store and we can help you choose the best fabric for this workshop.
- Matching thread
- Dress with funnel neck + cuffs - 2.3m
- Plain dress - 2m
- Top with funnel neck + cuffs – 1.8m
- Plain top – 1.5m

Please pre wash your fabric prior to the class to allow for shrinkage. We will ask you to collect your pattern and tracing paper from us so you can trace your correct size at home.
